11. SERVICES CATARACT :- Cataract is the clouding of the natural crystalline lens and typically occurs because of ageing, Surgery is the only known effective treatment for cataract removal. All cataract surgeries are aimed at removal of the cloudy natural lens and replacing it with an Intra Ocular Lens(IOL). Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation is the latest technique available for cataract surgery. almost all the cases are done by this method at our center.

At our center cataract surgery can be done on an outpatient basis. There is no need for admission into the hospital. It is a day care surgery, and involves staying in the hospital for 2 to 3 hours. Advance technology like IOL master ,topography , to be used for IOL power calculation to get clear post operative vision . 4. The artificial lens to be placed are of top quality like aspheric mono focal IOL , Toric IOL{for astigmatism }, multifocal IOL {for clear distance and near vision}. 6. The cataract surgery is performed under eye drops ,and its take only few minutes. From the same day of surgery, the patient can resume normal work . No need of follow up eye check up after surgery, Eye drops need to be continued for 4-6 weeks after surgery.

LASIK It is surgical procedure for permanent removal of glasses and contact lens, I Look Laser Vision center (at Aakash eye hospital) is fully equipped with VISIX STAR S4 IR technology, wavescan Aabbrometer (abbotte) , pachymeter and topography machine (zeiss). A laser vision correction surgery designed to reduce or eliminate the need for corrective eyewear. The CustomVue procedure provides a precise, unique, and more detailed analysis of the vision. Using Wave scan-based digital technology originally developed for use in high-powered telescopes to reduce distortions when viewing distant objects in space. Doctors can now capture unique imperfections in each individual’s eyes (higher order aberrations) that could not have been measured before using standard methods. The information captured using the Wavescan technology is transferred to the laser, providing a new level of precision and accuracy . This new level of measurement provides 25 times more precision than with standard methods used for glasses and contact lenses.

14. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING LASER SURGERY? At our hospital laser surgery is done on an outpatient basis; this means you go home immediately after surgery. Both eyes are treated at a time. The procedure is performed under topical anesthesia. The whole procedure will be over in a few minutes. Usually there is no pain during the procedure. YOU CAN RESUME YOUR NORMAL ACTIVITIES FROM THE SECOND DAY OF SURGERY. 2. Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) corrects higher degree of refractive error which cannot be done by laser treatments. Implantable contact lenses (ICL spherical /Toric) is surgically implanted in the eye between the iris and the natural crystalline lens through a small corneal incision. 3. Refractive lens exchange : In refractive lens exchange surgery the natural crystalline lens of the eye is replaced with an artificial Intra ocular lens (IOL) to achieve Sharpe focus, rarely it is opted for young people with very high powers. The surgical procedure is almost the same as cataract surgery and is done under local/topical anesthesia.

At Aakash eye hospitals the patient is investigated thoroughly with use of applanation tonometry, Perimetry , GCC and RNFL analysis with OCT ,optic disc photography with fundus camera .
