A.C.Bridgesarethosecircuitswhichareusedtomeasuredtheunknownresistances,
capacitance,inductance,frequencyandmutualinductance.
Anybridgecircuitisbalancedwhenthecurrentthroughbranchbetweentwoarmsiszeroas
wellasphase.
Inthesimplestformanacbridgeconsistsoffourimpedances,anacsourceandnulldetector.
Insomecasesacamplifierwithanoutputmeterisusedasnulldetector.
Thenullindicationisobtainedwhenthevoltageatpointbisequaltothevoltageatpointd.
Thesetwovoltagesshouldbeequalintermsofbothamplitudeandphase.Thatmeansto
obtainthiscondition;thevoltagedropacrossabshouldbeequaltothevoltagedropacrossad.
Intermsofcurrentandimpedancewecanwrite,
