ACCIDENT DETECTION USING MOBILE PHONE PRESENTED BY : V VINOD 19BK1A04C1

INTRODUCTION The main objectives of this work are, 1. To Reduce the Human Death Ratio due to Road Accident in India. 2. If accident takes place, quick transmission of message to preconfigured contacts to intimate the victims. 3. To provide maximum assistance even in unpopulated area. 4. To incorporate the technology and make more versatile applications of defense& war fields

EXISTING METHOD This project work is used to identify the accident occurrence and to detect the victim’s status. The microcontroller based system hardware has been developed to acquire the various parameters such as accident location, heart rate and beat and body temperature at accident occurrence spot and the same data have been transmitted to the LabVIEW software to analyze and indicate the physiological status of the victims. The same data and analysis report will be transmitted to the mobile phones which are in emergency care center and phone numbers for which the users would like to send the intimation.

PROPOSED SYSTEM The proposed methodology is the automatic system which will provide the solution for identifying the accident location. This system is using the heartbeat sensor based mobile technology integrated with the android smart phone. The normal human heartbeat range is 60 to 100 Beats Per Minute (BPM).If there is any variation from the normal heartbeat range, then the system detects that may be an accident or not. Then the system will immediately transmit the location of the accident to the pre-configured contacts through Short Message Service (SMS). In case of an accident is occurred then the driver is prompted to respond by touch or voice in order to eliminate any false detection.

CUASES OF ACCIDENTS Over Speeding. Drunken Driving. Distractions to Driver. Red Light Jumping. Avoiding Safety Gears like Seat belts and Helmets. Non-adherence to lane driving and overtaking in a wrong manner.

GPS-GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a global navigation satellite system deployed by the US Department of Defense and maintained by the US Air Force. GPS is a space based radio navigation system that provides accurate location and timing services to anyone with a GPS receiver. This service, made available to civilians in 1996 for navigation purposes, is free of charge, can support an unlimited number ofusers , and functions anywhere in the world. Starting in 2004, the mobile phone industry began successful tests to incorporate GPS receivers into mobile phone devices to support 911 emergency location. Most of today’s smart phones are.

GSM GSM stand for global system for mobile communication is a digital telephony system widely used in Europe and other part of the world .GSM used a variation of time division multiple access and is the most widely used of three digital wireless telephony technology. It is a digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. GSM is the most widely accepted standard in telecommunications and it is implemented globally. GSM is a circuit-switched system that divides each 200 kHz channel into eight 25 kHz time-slots. GSM operates on the mobile communication bands 900 MHz and 1800 MHz in most parts of the world. GSM makes use of narrowband Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technique for transmitting signals. GSM was developed using digital technology. It has an ability to carry 64 kbps to 120 Mbps of data rates. Presently GSM phone number in another GSM network. supports more than one billion mobile subscribers in more than 210 countries throughout the world. GSM provides basic to advanced voice and data services including roaming service. Roaming is the ability to use your GSM

ALCOHOL SENSOR MQ-3 This module is made using Alcohol Gas Sensor MQ3. It is a low cost semiconductor sensor which can detect the presence of alcohol gases at concentrations from 0.05 mg/L to 10 mg/L. The sensitive material used for this sensor is SnO2, whose conductivity is lower in clean air. It’s conductivity increases as the concentration of alcohol gases increases. It has high sensitivity to alcohol and has a good resistance to disturbances due to smoke, vapor and gasoline. This module provides both digital and analog outputs. MQ3 alcohol sensor module can be easily interfaced with Microcontrollers, Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi etc.

WORKING This system is using the heart beat sensor based mobile technology integrated with the android smart phone. The normal human heart beat range is 60 to 100 Beats Per Minute (BPM).If there is any variation from the normal heart beat range, then the system detects that may be an accident or not. Then the system will immediately transmit the location of the accident to the pre-configured contacts through Short Message Service (SMS). In case of an accident is occurred then the driver is prompted to respond by touch or voice in order to eliminate any false detection.

FEATURES The built-in microphone is used to listen for the high decibel acoustics event to detect an accident such as airbag deployment, impact noise and car horns. However, driver, passengers can produce a loud of noises that can be interpreted by the device as sound of airbag deployment, they are called benign noises activities, such as phone drops, shouting, laughing, loud music and driven with windows down To increase the likelihood of an accident, increase the accuracy of detection and reduce the false positives, the smartphone camera is instructed by the proposed detection system to record a video, showing what is happening at the instance of an accident, immediately after the detection process indicates a sign of accident

OBJECTIVES This system uses PIC 16F microcontroller, piezoelectric sensors, GPS and Global System for Mobile (GSM) modules to  detect traffic accidents . When an accident occurs, the piezoelectric sensor detects and measures the severity of the force impacted on the vehicle and sends out a help message to central emergency server .

PREVENTION OF ROAD ACCIDENT Drive in the prescribed speed limits on the various roads. ... Always put on helmets, seat belts and other safety equipments before driving a bicycle/ motor cycle/vehicle. ... Do not drink and drive. ... Never use mobile phones or ear phones while driving.

ADVANTAGES Speed of vehicle can be monitored Mobile number can be changed at any time

DISADVANTAGES Costlier system False Alarms are observed due to ill maintained roads and speed breakers. Sending of data isn’t secure Not applicable for remote places where network is poor.

FUTURE SCOPE The aims of this project is to design and implement a GPS based Land Surveying system, and find out time, latitude, and longitude of the boundary points and thereby take the survey of the land. The GPS Land Surveying System includes 24 satellites that provide location awareness by transmitting longitude, latitude, altitude, and time information to GPS receiving and processing devices worldwide. Here the system will track the position of boundary points of a particular land. The micro controller circuitry receive and process the data coming from the GPS receiver. The micro controller will send the needed information to plot the graph of the land to the PC

APPLICATIONS AUTOMATIVE SECURITY SYSTEM NAVIGATION SYSTEM PILGRIMS TRACKING

CONCLUSION With this system, an Embedded System is designed which can be most useful for Accidents. )t’s a low cost, Power efficient system by which the action time can be minimized, and exact location of an accident can also be defined with GPS service and the information regarding accident can
