GRAMMAR FACT An adverbs of place are usually placed after the main verb or after the object .
After the main verb: The cat looked away/up/down/around. I’m going home/out.
After the object: They built a hut nearby. He took the child outside.
Put the cake there. After a long day at work, we headed homewards. Please bring that book here. My grandfather’s house is nearby.
