The Ajanta Caves are a group of 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave temples located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, India. These caves were built between the 2nd century BC and 6th century AD and are famous for their magnificent wall paintings and sculptures depicting various stories from the life of Buddha.
