Unit-III : Human behaviour & Psychotherapy Human behaviour refers to how individuals act and behave. Which involves physical, mental and emotional activities, and is influenced by various factors.
1-Molecular vs Ethical Molecular behaviour : It is an unexpected behaviour that occurs without thinking. One example is suddenly closing eyes when something is about to this the eyes. Moral behaviour : Unlike molecular behaviour , this type of behaviour occurs after thinking. For example, a person changes the way when she or he sees a harmful thing.
Direct behaviour/Overt behaviour occurs in the form of actions or verbal expressions. Overt behaviour is a product of covert behaviour. Covert behaviour is productive of overt behaviour. It involves the movements of muscular organs to perform direct behaviour. 2-Overt vs covert
Conscious vs Unconscious The conscious mind contains all the thoughts, memories, emotions, and desires of which we are aware at any given moment. It is that aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about rationally. The unconscious Mind includes anything that can potentially be brought into the conscious mind.
Voluntary vs involuntary Voluntary action: The work which is under the control of one's will is called voluntary work. Involuntary action: That action which is not under the control of one's will is called involuntary action.
Psychotherapy (also psychological therapy, talk therapy, or talking therapy) is the use of psychological methods, especially when based on regular personal conversations, to help a person change behaviour , increase happiness, and overcome problems. What is the meaning of psychotherapy?
Attitude “ If you don’t like something change it. If you can’t change it, then change your attitude.”.
