•Fixed and dilated pupils, Photophobia and
blurred vision
•Partial of total blindness due to toxic effects of
formaldehyde on retinal cells

Stomach and intestine-congested
Lungs –congested, oedematous
Pungent smell of methyl alcohol

Methyl alcohol adulterated intoxicating beverages
are sometimes sold to poor people –Hooch tragedies.
