JOSEPH, THE DREAMER (Genesis 37-50) Obedient, but Hated Honorable, but Slandered Used by God, but Forgotten
JOSEPH, THE DREAMER (Genesis 37-50) Pit Prison Promotion
The story of Joseph, the son of Jacob who was called Israel, is a vivid representation of the great truth that 'all things work together for good to [those] who loved God, who are called according to His purpose.' (Romans 8:28).
- Romans 8:28
In the unexpected, remember that …
- Isaias 55:8-9
God has something far more special for us than we could ever imagine. No matter how dark the clouds, how depressing the circumstances, how hard life is, be confident that God something special for you. He has a lot store for you. Just trust HIM even in the uncertainty and unexpected.
When you cannot see God’s hands, trust His heart. It’s for your good. When we don’t see it, God is working. When we don’t feel it, God is working. HE IS WORKING BEHIND THE SCENE. All we need to do is TRUST and OBEY.
It was God’s plan for Joseph that sustained him during the times when he was a slave in Egypt and when he was in prison. Always remember that you are a special person created by God for a special purpose! HUWAG KANG SUMUKO, MAY IKUKUWENTO KA PA!
2. There are special problems for you “Ang sagot ni Job, “Hindi mo naiintindihan ang iyong sinasabi . - Job 2:10
The life of Joseph is one of great problems and trials. In v. 18, his brothers conspired against him. In v. 21, he was thrown into a pit. In v. 28, he was sold as a slave. In ch. 39, he is falsely accused of rape. In ch. 40 he is thrown into prison. Joseph was forsaken by his family, forgotten by his friends and frustrated by his failures. Please remember that all these things that happened to Joseph were just part of God's plan for his life.
God does not cause evil and suffering but when it happens, He works it out to His purpose. Everything that you encounter will add to God’s purpose in your life. Just as Joseph, God plants dreams in us and nothing can harm our dreams. God can turn our bitter sufferings into a better testimonies. God’s purpose for us: our lives have impacts in the lives of others. Indeed, a painful moment is an opportunity for God’s Grace. When we are weak, God is strong.
We must learn to shift our focus from the problem, to the problem solver. We must lean on God, especially when times are tough. We must learn to trust God. Just because we don’t hear from Him doesn’t mean He is silent. He is still at work in our lives. People may fail you or disappoint you. Circumstances may discourage you. Let that drive you closer to God. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.
3. There’s a special god with you “ Ako'y sasaiyo , huwag kang matakot , ako ang iyong Diyos , hindi ka dapat mangamba . Palalakasin kita at tutulungan , iingatan at ililigtas .” - Isaias 41:10
The account of Joseph, the dreamer illustrates the doctrine of the sovereignty (control) of God. A confidence in God's sovereignty inspires great courage. Allow God to meet your in your brokenness. God will meet you in your downfall. He will meet you at your downfall. He will be your strength at your weakness
How many times has God saved us in the past? How many times does He bless us? How many times has He met our needs when it seemed all hope was lost? KEEP TRUSTING GOD EVEN IN THE UNCERTAINTIES AND UNEXPECTED.
- Jeremias 17:7-8
Dear RECC family, Huwag kang sumuko . HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY TO ALL! - Pastor Alland ^^
