Introduction
•ASK means Amplitude Shift Keying
•amplitude of a carrier signal is varied with respect to
amplitude levels in the digital signal.

Modulation
•Digital input eg:(101010) and
•Carrier signal is multiplied
•It passed to BPF

Modulation
•a digital signal is at “1” it could not affect the signal
•when a digital signal is at “0” the signal goes to
zero.

Wave form

Demodulation
•ASK signal is allowed to LPF
•Digital signal is reconstructed

Advantages
•High efficiency
•Low noise interference

Disadvantages
•High bandwidth
•High power consumption
•Not suitable for wireless communication

Application
•It is used in Satellite link
