5. POEMS -read and enjoy the poem -1 stanza poem -understand the poem -activities- match sentences to pictures. (in order of events) -role-play RHYMES -repetition of last words -2 stanzas, 3 lines, 2 words/line -activities- say out rhyming words (quickly/clearly)

6. songs -respond to songs (lyrics) -activities- role play (based on the content of the song), write short forms of words (she is, she’s), read dialogues) -say out words (words with alliteration) -find the meaning of the words
