BURNS Tissue may be damage by thermal(heat ), Electrical , radioactive , or chemical damage agents . These agents can destroy the proteins in the exposed cells and cause cell injury or death. Such damage results in a Burn.
BURNS ARE CLASSIFIED AS ; FIRST DEGREE Second degree Third degreE FOURTH degree
TREATMENT A severely burned individual should moved as quickly as possible to a hospital. Treatment may include; Cleansing the burn wounds thoroughly. Removing all dead tissue so antibacterial agents can directly contact thee wound surface and thereby prevent infection Replacing lost body fluids Covering wounds with grafts as soon as possible.
