Endarch: The protoxylem lies towards the
pith in stem and the metaxylem lies towards
the periphery. This type of primary xylem is
called endarch.
Exarch: The protoxylem lies towards the
periphery in roots and the metaxylem lies
towards the pith. This type of primary xylem
is called exarch.
