DEVELOPMENT

Stomach is a muscular bag-most distensible part of the digestive tract. Occupies epigastric,umbilical & left hypochondrium regions. J-shaped to pyriform . 25cm long,1.5-2litres.

EXTERNAL FEATURES Two orifices : Cardiac and Pyloric Two curvatures : Greater and Lesser Two surfaces : Anterosuperior and Posteroinferior Two parts : Cardia – Fundus and Body :Pyloric – Antrum and Canal
