INTRODUCTION Anxiety may be regarding pathologic , when it Interference with effectiveness in living , Achivement of desired goal or satisfaction or reasonable emotional comfort .

DEFINITION “ Anxiety disorder is a characterized by recurrent , unwanted course or ritual ( irregular, illogical ) which feel uncomfortable to the sufferer” . ! “ A response to an undefined or unknown threating condition which may be due to unconscious conflict or insecurity “ !

ETIOLOGY Traumatic experience Stimulus of autonomic nervous system Socio cultural factors ( faulty child ) Psychological factors ( maladaptive response ) Stress , conflict . Behaviour factors . Cognitive factors .

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS Forget fullness Rumination Poor judgement Decrease attention and concentartion Difficulty in decision making Dyspnea

COMMON SIGN & SYMPTOMS Tension , fatigue , headache , insomnia , anorexia, chest pain , nausea vomiting , hypertension , increase sweating , chills , tightness of the neck , urinary frequency , diarrhoea, nervousness , restless ness , social withdrawal, decrease motivation , crime , irritate , crying, depression , helplessness , hopelessness , worthlessness .

TYPES OF ANXIETY Separation anxiety = It occur in person who have the fear , loss of love or even abandonment by there parents , if child fail to control their impulses in conformity with their parents standard and demand , when a child is separated frOm parents or away from home . Castration anxiety = The castration is the fantacys of oedipal ( sexual desire) child in relation to child developing sexual relationship . Existential anxiety = When You are entering in new stage of life . Philosophy of rumination are a part of this condition , anxiety is related to sex , religion , and death .

Test anxiety = The uneasyness, nervousness felt by the students who are a fear of falling in exam . Child feels that teacher will insult him/her in front of whole class. Student suffering from test anxiety . Strange anxiety = Anxiety while meeting or unknown people . This Anxiety mostly present in children.

Palliative anxiety = Anxiety in palliative care clint with chronic disease like cancer , heart disease , kidney disease etc . Will have anxiety about the disease diagnosis , drugs , quality Of life General anxiety = General anxiety disorder Involves Persistent and exessive worry that interferes with daily activities . Social anxiety = A debilitating fear of being seen negatively by others and humilated in public. It is a social phobia , it may be extremely shyness .

TREATMENT Psychopharmacology AnxiolytIc drugs = Alprazolam , Olanzepam, Clonazepam , Buspirone , Benzodiazepine , Antidepressant drugs = Imipramine , Fluvoxamine etc . Psychotherapy = Behaviour therapy , socio therapy , yoga therapy , group therapy , cognitive therapy , etc .
