What is APGAR Scoring? A- appearance -( I,e . Skin colour ) P- Pulse ( i.e , heart rate) G- grimace ( I,e . Response to stimuli) A- activity ( I,e . Muscle tone) R- respiration

Bishop scoring It is also know as pre labor scoring system or pre induction scoring. Used to assist in predict the success of induction of labor.

Bishop score is a calculation used to predict how close you are to labor. Your health care provider will examine the cervix and determine the bishop score Based on changes in the cervix and the position of baby’s head. The final score can help determine if the induction will lead to a successful vaginal birth. Maximum score is ’13’ Minimum score is ‘0’

Total score = 13 Favorable score= 6-13 ( chance of vaginal delivery) Unfavorable score = <6 ( less chance of vaginal delivery)
