3. Information Technology is being applied to facilitate the development of various aspects of the society : the public and private sector activities, improving quality of life for citizens , sharing knowledge and improving access to information.

Example of some top Information Communication Technologies include : video conferencing, Internet Technology, digital subscriber line (DSL), Extra-Nets , speech recognition , Internet Chat, Biometrics, electronic books , Avatars, intranets , private networks, remote connectivity .
