3. Thereason
In recent years, the Municipality of Almodôvar
has taken on all the responsibility for the annual
archaeological campaigns, and more recently
took the initiative to integrate the Mesas do
CastelinhoInterpretive Center into the
remodeling of the Manuel Vicente
Ethnographic Museum, and it now it maked
perfect sense to continue the investments
already made and move towards the valorization
and preparation of the site to receive with
dignity all those who want to visit it.

•Ensure that the development of this Site would contribute to the protection of the site
•Create new digital supports that would make visits more autonomous and attractive to new
audiences;
•Favor and encourage the continuity of research and archaeological excavations at the site;
•Raise awareness among the population of the importance of their local heritage at a national
and even global level.
