As social beings, an important commitment we have is our relationships with others. Some people take their commitments seriously. Others neglect their commitments, Ex. Fulfilling their responsibilities at home, Studies (Students), Church.
Still others are hesitant, cannot sustain or simply do not wish to make any commitments for various reasons such as: Potential commitment is uninteresting or undesirable; Unfavorable circumstances ex. Strict parents, limited time availability. Prefer carefree lifestyle without attachments; Dislike responsibility and accountability; and, Personal attitudes ex. Low self-regard, easily discouraged, etc.
The Church envisions young and old people to grow in their commitment to their relationship with Christ, to their personal development and to community involvement.
