3. INTRODUCTION - It is one of the sovereign remedies for an acute cold - It should not be given in low potency or repeated.

4. Indication in some clinical condition Aphonia Coryza Diphtheria Headache Scarlatina

5. Sphere of action -It prominently affects left side. -It has marked action on mucous membrane of moth, throat, larynx. -It also acts on kidneys, brain, blood and skin. -It causes inflammation of the mucous surface and destruction of the tissue.

6. GUIDING SYMPTOMS Constant picking at the nose until it bleeds, boring with the finger into the sides of the nose Pick lips until they bleed, corners of mouth cracked and bleeding. Acrid, ichorous discharge, excoriating mucous surfaces. Pain fully sore, raw and burning of parts. Nose bleeds stopped, inspite of the watery discharge. Aphonia complet , after exposure to northwest winds and from singing Fluent coryza with nostril raw. Children refuse food and drink on account of soreness of mouth and throat. Toung and buccal cavity raw and bleeding with profuse acrid salivation.

7. Mind : - Children excessively cross & stubborn. They are nervous, restless & irritable. Persistently boring into nose or pricking at lips, finger at one spot until sore or bleed. Aliments from : - Exposure to northwest wind, getting cold, overuse of voice

8. NOSE Coryza ; acrid, fluent; nostril raw. Nose feels stopped up inspite of the watery discharge Patient must breath through mouth Sneezing worse at night “Constant picking at nose until it bleeds” boring with the finger into the side of nose.

9. THROAT Aphonia : complete, after exposure to north-west winds from singing Throat is raw, sore, painful on clearing or coughing. Patient can not swallow. It is medicine for CLERGYMAN’S sore throat.

10. FACE Patient pick bore into the raw bleeding surfaces through very painful; screma with pain but keep up the boring “Pick lips until they bleed” corners of mouth sore, creaked, bleeding (with malignant tendency) ; bites nail until fingers bleed. The sore mouth and nose are guiding in malignant scarlatina and diphtheria.

11. MOUTH Saliva profuse acrid, corodes the mucous membrane; tongue and buccal cavity raw and bleeding FEVER Typhoid scarlatina , with apathy, scanty or suppressed urine; threatened uremia. SKIN Desquamation in large flakes; a second or third time, in scarlatina .

12. General modalities Aggravation: Overuse of voice, talking, singing, northwest wind, heat, lying down, at night. RELATION Useful after- Hep . & Nit. Acid in hoarse, croupy, cough. After- Caust . & Hep . In morning hoarseness & deafness and in scarlatina .
