Morphology Cylindrical in shape (fusiform) Largest intestinal nematode Pinkish or creamy white in colour Body wall covered by cuticle Round and tapers at both ends 3 toothed lips(1 dorsal and 2 ventral ) Internal organs floats in irritating fluid k/a ascaron or ascarase ( Allergic manifestation )

4. Male: 15-20 cm Male has a end ventrally curved in the form of a hook with conical tip The genital pore and ejaculatory duct open into the cloaca Two copulatory spicules protudes from the cloaca

5. Female: 20-40 cm Posterior end neither pointed nor curved Vulva opens at midventral vulvar waist 0.2 million eggs per day
