2. Asha foundation is an NGO based in the cities of Surat and Anand in the state of Gujarat in western India. Asha has a young and enthusiastic team of volunteers and some full-time teachers and professionals led by Mr. Shalin Pandit . The cohesive group is committed to making education the path to creating a vibrant social community. What is Asha ??

3. It wants to be a promoting and change agent for education for the tribal, rural and urban poor. Asha believes that given the right education and right guidance the lower-most class can also pull itself up to a successful life . Asha has divided its intended work into two Phases. What does Asha want to do ??

4. Phase I includes establishing the infrastructural facilities as well as creating the network of fund-raisers required to fulfil the Phase II Adopt the currently ailing NGO “ Pathashala ” and open 6 more education centres for the urban poor in the cities of Surat & Anand . These education centres will be providing coaching for Std. IV to XII. Special focus on X & XII. These facilities are for the under-privileged What does Asha want to do ??

5. Phase I also includes short-listing the 125 villages where Asha will be opening its own centres in Phase II Phase I will also provide job-oriented computer education and skills to 150 youth from the urban slums and work towards their placement for jobs. 5 Self-Help groups will be started in tribal villages close to the city of Surat with a direct support of 1500 USD What does Asha want to do ??

6. To put the Phase I of Asha’s vision in to reality, it currently needs a funding of 50,000 USD It has decided to raise the same through crowd-funding and asking the general public of small contributions. Crowd-funding will enable us to make meaningful associations with the general public as well take in suggestions and ideas from a large audience How much does Asha need ??

7. Once you contribute, you will be automatically subscribed to our quarterly digital magazine that shows our various events, general students achievements and other pictures and photographs. Also, a year-book of Asha will be sent to your home address. And a picture of yours will be put of on our to be created contributor’s wall which will be put up in the new office & head centre. What does the contributor get ??

8. If your contribution is 50 USD or greater, we will send you a special gift prepared by the participants from one the SHG supported villages. -- “your simple contribution of 10 USD can help us educate and empower a child to build his/her future” What does the contributor get ??
