RESOURCES

INTRODUCTION
‘Learning by doing’ and ‘learning by living’ are the two cardinal principal of
teaching and is same is true in the case of teaching science. It is the natural usage
in children to make things, to break things and to handle things but the present
curriculum does provide ample opportunities for the student for self expression,
independent research, constructive activities and other projects.
Educational is not contained to class room teaching. Life in the class room
can cover only a small part of our total life. It learning is not result in the total
development of the learners, we must go beyond our school walls into the
community as students and as working participant.
Man made resources like Museum Zoo, Botanical garden, agrifarms, etc. are
help to effective learning.
CONTENT
MAN MADE RESOURCES
Man made resources are defined as a resources created by humans. It does
not occur naturally and is produced and formed by humans. Manmade resources
are items or substances that have value to human lives that do not occur in the
natural world. Man made resources are play a vital role in the educational field.
Examples of man made resources are zoo, botanical garden, Museum,agrifarms
etc. Man made resources are helped to effective learning through natural
resources, students fan see things hear things, handle things and can examine them
minutely students get first had experience through man made resources.

MUSEUM
Museum is a type of man made resources. It also play a vital role in
educational. In terms of education, going to a museum can bring what is tough in
schools to life, museum consists of specimen and objects. And it also consist of
Skelton of animals birds etc.
A school should have a science museum and a biological garden. These can
be set up with the help of the students.
Advantages of school museum
 Students get first hand experience
 It develops spirit of competition in students
 Students are inspired when their object are displayed
 It provide satisfaction among students
 Students learn handing, constructive and manipulative skills.
ZOO
Zoo is also a kind of man made resources zoo play an important role in
educational, recreation and conservation. Every year thousands of people came to
the zoo. Zoos provide shelter and breeding sanctuaries for animals that are
endangered. Because of habits, destruction especially in tropical environment
many animals are illegally hunted, destroyed or pushed to the point of extinction.
Zoos also create wonderful learning environment for people of all ages to see
anotic animal face to face learn about their importance in the world.

Educational implications
 Zoos provide direct experience to the students
 It increase ecological awareness
 Zoom create wonderful learning environment.
BOTANICAL GARDENS
A botanical garden is a garden dedicated to the collection, cultivation and
display of a wide range or plants staled with their botanical names. It may contains
specialist plant collections such as … and succulent plant, herb gardens, plant from
patrician are parts of the world, and so on visitor services at the botanical garden
might include tours, educational displays, air exhibition book room, open air
theoretical and musical performance, and other entertainment.
Educational implication
 Provide interest to botany and horticulture
 Increase natura; awareness
 Botanical gardens are wonderful learning environments
 Students can see various kinds of plants
AGRIFARMS
Agrifarms are other various of botanical garden. It is also a manmade
resources. Agricultural play a vital role in educational field. Agriculture
educational was mainly offered to those few students wanting to make a career of
agriculture.

 Agrifarms provide agricultural education
 Creates agricultural awareness
 Provides interest to agriculture
CONCLUSION
Man Mad Resources are play a vital role in education. Zoo, museum,
botanical garden, agrifarms are the examples of man made resources these are
create natural awareness to the students.
