3. I ntroduction :- The Smallest Particle of an elament or molecules is an atom. Atom are Fundamental unit of matter. The atom are very small and it’s diameter of the order of 10 -10 meter.

4. Atomic Structure :— Atom possesses a central core called a nucleus. Which is positively charged the diameter of nucleus is 10 -10 M. The Atom consists of three particles. Protons Neutrons Electron The electron are revolve around the nucleus at varying distances, similar to planets rotatin around the sun.

5. Proton are discovered by Sir E.Goldstein . Proton are those which contain one unit of positive charge. Proton are move towards the negative charge. Charge of proton= 1.6×10 -19 C. Mass of proton=1.67×10 -27 Kg . 1. Proton :—

6. Electron are discovered by sir J.J. Thomson in 1897. Mass of electron = 9.1×10 -31 Kg. Value of electron charge =1.6×10 -19 C. The Number of electrons in an atom is equal to the number of proton. The electros are negativaly charged particle. 2. Electron :—

7. Nutron : — Neutron are discovered by sir James Chadwick in 1932. Neutron are these which contain (0) charge. Neutrons are present in the nucleus of all atoms except hydrogen. It is neutral particle. Mass of neutron – 1.67×10 -27 kg.
