With the effective use, any Institute can apply the "Attendance Management System" for conducting quick attendance and getting better results in less time. ABSTRACT

3. Attendance management system is a software developed for daily students attendance in schools, colleges and institutes. If facilitates to access the attendance information of a particular student in a particular class this system will also help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of a student.The purpose of developing attendance management system is to computerized the tradition way of taking attendance. Another purpose for developing this software is to generate the report automatically at the end of the session or in the between of the session.Maintaining an attendance record is mandatory for any organization. This can be a either in manual or electronic format. There are many advantages in recording the staff attendance. Most important of all is it throw some light on the discipline of the student or employee. Monitoring of the attendance record by the superior gives some idea on the absence or leave taking phenomenon of the employee or student. It generally observe that the employee have a tendency to take a leave along with the weekends. INTRODUCTION

4. LITRATURE SURVEY 2.1WORKING OF PRESENT SYSTEM-1::In the present system all work is done on paper. The whole session attendance is stored in register andat the end of the session the reports are generated. We are not interested in generating report in themiddle of the session or as per the requirement because it takes more time in calculation. At the end ofsession the students who don't have 75% attendance get a notice.Disadvantages of present working system:-Not User Friendly: The existing system is not user friendly because the retrieval of data is very slowand data is not maintained efficiently.Difficulty in report generating: We require more calculations to generate the report so it is generated atthe end of the session and the student does not get a single chance to improve their attendance.

5. 2.2 PROPOSED SYSTEM-This Application is built for automating the processing of attendance. It also enhances the speed of the performing attendance task casily . It also generates periodic reports to keep a check on the students who are regular & who are not. This system is very useful to the office staff also because they can generate various types of reports and submit them to respective faculties also or also can be submitted to the College Coordinator. Office staff can also generate black list of students who have attendance less than 50% or 80%. So this kind of various reports can be generated

Traditional methods involving paper- basedattendance sheets and manual data entry result in errors, consume valuable instructional time, andhinder the ability to provide timely and reliable attendance information. This manual approach alsolacks the capability to perform automated eligibility assessments, leading to delays and subjectivity incrucial academic decisions.The existing Student Attendance Management System faces the following issues:Inaccurate Record-Keeping: Manual recording is error-prone, leading to inaccuracies in attendancerecords and potentially affecting the evaluation of students' academic performance.Time -Consuming Processes: Teachers spend considerable time on manual administrative tasks relatedto attendance, reducing the time available for actual teaching and interaction with students.
