BEHERABAND NORTH EXTN. COAL BLOCK, ANUPPUR Proposal for seeking prior approval of exploration in 517.405 Ha. Forest Land in Auppur District of Madhya Pradesh User Agency : Auro Coal Pvt. Ltd. Galaxy, 21st Floor, Wing A, Plot No 1, Sy No 83/1, Hyderabad Knowledge City, TSIIC Raidurg ( Panmaktha ), Hyderabad, Telangana 500081 FOREST PROPOSAL NO:- FP/MP/SRY/435658/2023

Introduction JSPL -Coal block bidding assistance Slide 2 The Beheraband North Extn. Coal Mine is located on the eastern part of Sohagpur coal field, north of Beheraband Mine of SECL in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. The mine is approachable from Bijuri town located ~10km south; Bijuri is the nearest railway station also on Anuppur-Chirimiri / Bisrampur section of SE Railway. The regional exploration was carried out in the block by Geological Survey of India (GSI) during 1979 to 1982. CMPDIL undertook detailed exploration in the area during 1984 to 1996 with a total drilling of 31,942 m in 113 boreholes and subsequently a GR has been prepared by CMPDIL in December 1996. As per this GR the area of the block was 14.76 sq.km. The block boundary has been re-organised by CMPDIL during bidding. The modified block area is 14.84 sq.km and out of the total 113 boreholes drilled in the area 72 boreholes (total drilling 23,388.90m. borehole density: approx. 5 BH/ Sq.km) fall within this modified boundary. The exploration plan is prepared integrating these 72 bore holes.

Summary of Coal Block JSPL -Coal block bidding assistance Slide 6 Features Details Name of Coal Mine Beheraband North Extn. Surface Features The area in general is marked by rolling topography with small ridges and shallow depressions. The ground elevation ranges from less than 551m in the north-eastern to more than 599m in the northern part of the block above MSL. The general slope of the area is towards the Kanai nala in the eastern part and tributary of Latura Nala in the north-western part. Drainage System In the southern portion the Kanai Nala, tributary of the son river is flowing westerly and tributary of Latura nala in the north-western part flowing south-western constitutes the main drainage of the block. A water reservoir exists in the north-eastern part. The area is having 5 nos of ponds and tanks. Nearest Railhead Bijuri railway station (10 km due south of the mine) Road Connected by fair weather road to State Highway No. 14, passing to south of the area No. of Coal Seams 6 (Seam I to V Top, in ascending order) Attitude of Coal Seams Strike is NNE to SSW in the western part and N-S in eastern part with low dip (3 o - 4 o ) towards NW in the western part and 9 o - 11 o towards east in the eastern part Depth Intersection of Coal Seams Min Depth: 167.86m (CMJBH-108); Max Depth: 551.03m (SBJ-32) Faults 3 (F1 to F3) Status Partially Explored Exploration Agency CMPDI, GSI Coal Quantity & Grade   Geological Reserve 170 Mt (Proved Coking coal reserve = 120 Mt, Proved Non- Coking coal reserve = 45 Mt; Indicated Coking coal reserve = 3 Mt; Indicated Non-Coking coal reserve = 2 Mt)

Deviation logging is proposed in bore holes with more than 300m depth Proximate analysis   60% to 100% of coring boreholes Ultimate analysis and special tests   10% of the coring bore holes Geotechnical boreholes proposed   4 boreholes Boreholes proposed for hydrogeological studies   2 boreholes Washability studies   To generate required quantity of coal samples from borehole cores (50 Kg as per IS: 1380), 3-4 HQ size boreholes will be drilled in close periphery and seam wise coal samples from each borehole are clubbed together to generate desired quantity for washability tests. Location and number of boreholes will be decided after commencement of drilling operation and identifying region for drilling of these boreholes Gas desorption study   Proposed in one bore hole

Exploratory Drilling JSPL -Coal block bidding assistance Slide 8 Drilling plan has been prepared in accordance with the standards mentioned in the Modified Indian Standard Procedure for Coal Resource Estimation, 2022 . The drilling program would involve drilling of 50 boreholes with total meterage of 25,085m. All the 50 boreholes will be drilled vertically with a ratio of coring: non-coring boreholes as 75:25 (37 nos. coring and 13 nos. non-coring). The boreholes will be placed at 400m x 400m grid spacing. The size of drill cores will be HQ/NQ/BQ. Samples from the coring boreholes will be analysed for seam overall analysis with GCV determination and up to 10% of total boreholes (5 nos. well diversified throughout the block) will be taken up for ultimate analysis and special tests such as HGI, AFT, Coal Petrography, Coking Propensity (Coking Index, Coke Type, CSN/SI), Washability and Ash analysis (2 boreholes). Seam-I is the lower most seam as per GR of CMPDIL, so the target depth proposed is up to Seam-I floor. The average depth of the proposed exploration drilling is 503.70m. Block area 14.84 km2 CMPDIL BHs 72 Meterage: 23,388.90m       Proposed BH in this exploration plan 50 Meterage: 25,085m Total BH 122 Meterage: 48,473.90m BH Density 8.22 BH/sq. km

Exploration Plan Slide 9 The borehole density proposed is considered sufficient as per the understanding developed with the structure. In addition, boreholes for collection of samples for washability are proposed. The coordinates of the proposed boreholes are defined in the following Coordinate System: Projection System: Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Datum: WGS84 Zone: 44Q However, geographical latitude and longitudes in degree, minutes and seconds have also been mentioned.
