Automatic IRRIGATION SYSTEM The Next Generation Irrigation An Innovative presentation By IT Team of 8B

Introduction In the present world of technology, each work in day to day life cannot be done without at least one gadget. Agriculture is much old practice for the production of food, it can also be done with the help of latest technology. This presentation is based on automatic irrigation system, which is mostly done using sensors, electricity and pc/laptops. The usage of these systems depend on the farmers.

Drip & Sprinkler Irrigation Drip Irrigation is a type of irrigation in which the water is supplied drop by drop to the plants In Automatic systems, we can set time for watering the plants automatically. Sprinkler Irrigation is a type of irrigation in which a nozzle is attached to pipe to make theater reach as far as possible. By setting time in the automatic systems we can water the plants during the night where evaporation is less.

Common in both Both are done in places where there is a shortage of water Both reduces the need for human labor. Both systems are mostly used in gardens & farms. Both systems are work with a micro controller and a sensor.

The structure of the system The system works with a micro-controller & a sensor. It works with electricity using mechanism. The sensor can detect the soils wetness and fertility. It is computer operated. It has modes to change it to manual.

Advantages & Disadvantages Saves time- reduces the time spent on irrigating by yourself/labors. Save money- no need to waste money on labors. Save water- helps in places where there is shortage of water Increases soil fertility- water will not evaporates quickly. The systems are to expensive. It uses a lot of electricity. Some time may fail to work. More labors who worked as gardeners were left jobless.

Usage The usage of this technology depends on the knowledge of the Farmers. Most planters/farmers thought that these systems are only for large farms . It is not widely used but still most of them use the systems for time management.
