entireareaoccupiedbythebuildingincludinginternaland
externalwalls.
Plinthareaisgenerally10-20%morethancarpetarea.

CarpetArea:Carpetareaistheareathatcanbeusedto
spreadacarpetinsidethehouse.Itisthenetusableareaof
theapartment.Itincludesthethicknessoftheinternalwall
butexcludesbalconyorterrace.Technically,thedistance
betweeninnerwallsiscarpetarea.
