Satan also
does these
Satan also
does these
which makes him technically a
Christian 01. 02. 03. He believes in Jesus and knows
Jesus is the Son of God He also reads the bible as seen
at Matthew 4, he knows the
scripture He also attends the local churches
but not for the same reason we do
but instead to kill, steal and destroy.
He lurks to find preys even inside the
church 04. Satan, before falling from grace
was surrounded by other angels
in heaven, he is even a leader(a
worship leader)

A Relationship with JesusA Relationship with Jesus
Having a personal relationship with
Jesus involves establishing an
intimate connection with Him
characterized by faith, trust, and
closeness.
Having a personal relationship with
Jesus involves establishing an
intimate connection with Him
characterized by faith, trust, and
closeness.

How can we have a
relationship with Jesus?
How can we have a
relationship with Jesus?
We need to recognize these Biblical truths to
have a relationship with Jesus...

The first truth we need to recognize in
order to have a relationship with Jesus
is that, naturally, our relationship with
God is broken.
The first truth we need to recognize in
order to have a relationship with Jesus
is that, naturally, our relationship with
God is broken.
a. We must recognize and acknowledge that we
fell short from the Glory of God
Romasn 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God,

The things is,The things is,God’s standard is perfection—since He is
absolutely holy—and we all fall short of that
standard. We each need to humble ourselves
before God and admit our sin.
Through the confession of our sins against God,
do we take the first step to repentance

2nd Truth2nd Truth
“the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). “Wages”
are payment for what we do. So, the payment or result
of our sin is “death”—this is speaking of spiritual
death, eternal separation from God in the place the
Bible calls hell.

3rd Truth3rd Truth
We also need to grasp a third truth—and this is a
wonderful one: God loves us in spite of our sins, and
He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for us, as our
Substitute.
Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that
while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

3rd Truth3rd Truth
He didn’t wait for us to clean up our act or somehow
overcome our sin (an impossibility); rather, He
sacrificed Himself for us while we were still estranged
from Him. He chose to take the punishment that we
deserved.
He loved us first before we even loved him.

3rd Truth3rd Truth
Substitution.
Isaiah 53:6, 1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus stands in our place, so that in the ‘Great
Exchange’ as Martin Luther called it, we gain his
righteousness while he takes our sin. This is our cross,
our rightful death, and he takes it instead of us.
“Therefore, I don’t have to die, even though sin causes
death.”

The RansomThe Ransom
Then, we need to admit that there’s absolutely
nothing we can do to save ourselves or to contribute
to our salvation. On the basis of Christ’s sacrifice, God
forgives our sins by grace, that is, by an undeserved
blessing. “It is by grace you have been saved, through
faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of
God—not by works, so that no one can boast”
(Ephesians 2:8–9).

The RansomThe Ransom
The Lord Jesus has already done all the work (John
19:30), and He did it perfectly! Salvation is not about
what we can do but about what Christ has done.
If you were asked to pay a fine because of your
speeding, and someone else has paid that for you,
there’s nothing else left to do other than accept it or
deny what has already been done.

Turn to HimTurn to Him
Knowing these truths from Scripture, you can
have a relationship with Jesus by receiving Him
by faith. Turn from your sin and trust Jesus and
His finished work on the cross to have paid for
your sins.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am
the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.

For Christians who already know
these truths but refuse any
transformation in their lives,
means that there is something
that you are not doing
For Christians who already know
these truths but refuse any
transformation in their lives,

that you are not doingBut
But

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit by
itself, unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you, unless you abide
in me

a. Abide in Me, and I in You: Jesus emphasized
a mutual relationship. It isn’t only that the
disciple abides in the Master; the Master also
abides in the disciple. Abiding is a choice, a choice to stay, to
believe, to put our faith, to continue the
connection we have to Jesus.

b. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
unless it abides in the vine: It is impossible for
the branch to bear grapes if it isn’t connected
to the vine. The disciple can’t do true good for
God and His kingdom if they do not consciously
connect with and abide in Jesus.

Accepting Jesus is the continuous process of
Transformation.
Accepting Jesus is the continuous process of
Transformation.

a. If anyone: This is a promise for anyone. Anyone!
It doesn’t matter what class, what race, what
nationality, what language, or what level of
intelligence. Anyone can be a new creation in
Jesus Christ.
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

b. Is in Christ: This is a promise for anyone who is in
Christ. This is not a promise for those who are in
themselves, or in the religion of men, or in someone
or something else. This is for those in Christ.
i. It is unfair for us to expect those who are not in
Christ to live as if they were a new creation.
However, it is not unfair to expect a changed life
from people who say they are Christians.
If they say they are Christian then it is expected
that there was a transformation that happened in
their life and it is only fair for other Christians to
expect it from each other.

c. He is a new creation; old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new. Paul here teaches
the great principle of regeneration. Jesus Christ
changes those who come to Him by faith and who are in
Christ. The saved are not “just forgiven.” They are
changed into a new creation.

i. Being a new creation is a gift from God received by
faith. “God is surely the author of the second creation
as he was of the first.”
ii. However, being a new creation doesn’t mean that we
are perfect. It means that we are changed and that we

iii. Living as a new creation is something God works in us,
using our will and our choices. So, we must both receive the
gift of being a new creation and be challenged to live the life
of a new creation. All this is God’s work in us that we must
submit to. This reminds us that at its root, Christianity is all
about what God did for us, not what we can or should do for
God.

WorshipWorship
So, the true worship of God is distinguished by the following
criteria: first, it comes from the redeemed heart of a man or
woman who has been justified before God by faith and who
is trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of
sins.

WorshipWorship
How can one worship the God of heaven if his sin has not been
dealt with? Never can that worship be acceptable that
proceeds from an unregenerate heart where Satan, self, and the
world hold sway (2 Timothy 2:26; 1 John 2:15).
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone
loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them.
Any worship other than that from a “washed” heart is vain

Second, true worship of God comes from a heart that desires
Him alone. This was precisely where the Samaritan people
erred; they sought to worship both God and idols (2 Kings
17:28-41), and this is reaffirmed by the Lord Jesus Christ when
He discourses on the subject of true worship with the
Samaritan woman who came to fetch water from the well.

“You Samaritans worship what you do not know” (John 4:22).
These people worshiped God “half-heartedly” because their
total affection was not set on God.
It is possible for even true believers to fall into this second
error.

We might not assent to having physical idols, like the
Samaritans did, but what absorbs our will, our time, our
resources most of all? Is it careers, material possessions,
money, health, or even our families?
These things are also idols we must remove and evaluate what
consumes most of your time other than God.

Let us cry out, like King David in Psalm 63:5, “My soul will be
satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips, my
mouth will praise you.”
Nothing less than God should satisfy the heart of the
regenerate man, and his response to that divine satisfaction,
comparable to the best food ever, is the fruit of lips that sing
God’s praise (Hebrews 13:15).

Third, true worship of God is the desire to continue to build up
our knowledge of God. Apart from the Bible, which we should
be reading daily, we need to supplement our knowledge by
reading other good books, too.
We need to fill our minds constantly with the things of God;
God should always be on our mind, and everything we do
should be done with reverence to Him (Colossians 3:17; 1
Corinthians 10:31).

WorshipWorship
Interestingly, the Greek word for “worship” in Romans 12:1 can
also mean “service.” So, our daily lives should also be
considered as worship. Every day, we are to offer ourselves as
living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. The church is
supposed to be impacting the world by its worship of God. Far
too often, it’s the other way around.

WorshipWorship
Let us purify our hearts if we really want to worship the triune God in
spirit and in truth. Our God is holy; He is altogether “Other,” a God who
cannot share us with other objects of our affection.
Indeed, a God who WILL not share us, for the sake of His holiness. We
were made to be creatures who worship, but the Fall has crippled
and ruined us. Worship is the most natural thing for man, but until we
are restored to God through the sacrifice of His dear Son, then all our
worship is but a vain thing. It is as “strange fire” before the altar
(Leviticus 10:1).

Last but not least: PrayerLast but not least: Prayer
Prayer strengthens intimacy with
God. It shows our need for Him,
when we pray, we humble
ourselves and recognize that we
can do nothing without God, which
is something satan cannot do.

i. There is significant, important value in a time where
we shut out all other distractions and focus on God in

also room – and great value – in every-moment-of-

· The use of the voice is not an essential element in prayer.
