Biological importance of Nucleotides By: Hariharan.B

CONTENT NUCLEOTIDE. INTRODUCTION. TYPES. IMPORTANCE.

NUCLEOTIDES Nucleotides are organic molecules composed of a nitrogen base, a pentose sugar and a phosphate. Nucleotides are the basic building blocks of nucleic acid(DNA & RNA).

TYPES There are f ive types of nucleotides they are, Adenine. Thymine. Guanine. Cytosine. Uracil.

IMPORTANCE Nucleotides are the essential part of the formation of RNA and DNA. Acting as an antiviral against dangerous diseases like HIV.

Helps in building metabolism and metabolism’s major element is nucleotides It is essential for the functioning of the liver of the living being. Improve the immune system of a human body and incrementing the numbers of natural killer cells in a body to prevent the attack of diseases or viruses.

Plays an important role in the food group such as protein, carbohydrate, and fats. It is one of the most energy-yielding organic molecules in the human body. Reduces the possibilities of diarrhea. When the stress level increases, nucleotides help in reducing the level of cortisol.

Nucleotides are useful in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). With the help of dietary nucleotides, one can improve their power of memory. Helps in gaining weight and increasing the height of a human.

Having more nucleotides in one’s diet improves the muscle joints and prevents any kind of pain in them. Improves the efficiency of cell repairing and rapid growth of the cells. It is responsible for all the hereditary character of every human being.
