Suffixes Associated with the Nervous System

2. 1.-plegia
This suffix refers to paralysis.
An example of it’s use is the word
‘paraplegia’ or ‘paraplegic’ referring to the
paralysis of two things, such as limbs.

3. 5.-phasia
This suffix refers to speech.
Some examples of it’s use are:
“aphasic” meaning without speech, or unable to
speak, and
“dysphasia” meaning difficult speech.
