TEMPERATE DECIDUOUS FOREST
The temperate deciduous forest grows in the eastern united states and also in a small area in the west side of
the United States. In the temperate deciduous forest there are four seasons spring summer autumn and winter.
Maple,hickory and oak trees are the most common trees. There is a large variety of small and big animals that
live here. These include worms, bugs, chipmunks, snakes, rabbits, frog, salamander, squirrels, deer, cougars,
black bears and more. Birds likeblue jays, woodpeckers and owls also live here. The most common plants here
are ferns, mosses and bluebells.
TROPICAL FOREST
Biomes
Biomes are land areas that have similar characteristics like climate, plants, animals etc. The most commonly
accepted biomes that exist on the Earth are Tundra, Desert, Grassland, Tropical Rain Forest, Deciduous Forest,
and Coniferous Forest.
DESERTS
The desert is a dry and hot place with very little rainfall. Animals found here include Lizards, Gila monsters,
Tortoises, Toads, Snakes, Coyotes, Javalinas, Bob cat, Big horn sheep and many more. Plants here include
varieties of Cacti, Yucca, Palo Verde and the Joshua tree.
Since deserts have very little water and food, they have fewer clusters of animals compared to other biomes.
