BIOOPTIC

Biooptics comes from two words, bio and optics. Bio relates to living things or certain parts of living things, while optics is known as the part of physics that deals with light or rays. The main focus in biooptics is related to the human sense of sight, the eye. The eye is the most important optical device in humans or living things.

Colour blindness is the inability of a person to distinguish certain colours . In the normal human retina , there are two types of cells that are sensitive to light. There are rod cells that are active in low light, then there are cone cells that are active in high intensity light (bright). These cone cells are what allow us to see colours and differentiate between them. Under normal conditions, the cones in the retina of the eye have a spectrum of three basic colours , namely red, green and blue. People who have cones that are sensitive to these three colours are considered normal. In certain people, there may be only two or even one or no cone cells that are sensitive to these colours . This is called colour blindness. So colour blindness usually involves red, blue or green. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
