Anna Sewell Anna Sewell was born on March 30, 1820, in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England. After a childhood injury, she was confined to her house as an invalid and got around largely by carriage horse. Sewell spent her last years writing the children's classic Black Beauty (1877), a fictional autobiography of a gentle, highbred horse. She died of hepatitis in 1878, just five months after her book was published.

Plot
Exposition Rising Action main character, when the horse tells the story about his memory as a young colt at a pleasant meadow. neighbour's pasture near a railroad and prepared to start work. Then, it is sold to Squire Gordon and live comfortably in Birtwick Hall for three years. This is the place where he met other horses like Merrylegs , Ginger and Sir Oliver. Climax The turning point of the story was. hurt when he was driven by Reuben Smith who was drunk at that time. Smith died while he suffered from his ruined knees. Falling Action he is separated from Ginger and sold to Jerry Barker at a horse fair. works as a horse cab and happened to see Ginger yearns for death as she was in much pain . Resolution it is the end of a story. where he was sold to Farmer Thorough and his grandson . At the end he spend his life in a peaceful way
A horse named Black Beauty the birth of Black Beauty and the time he spent with his mother and what she taught him. He is then sold to Squire Gordon who loves animals and is known for treating them very well. He enjoys time there but later is sold to Earlshall Park where life is painful. Black Beauty gets hurt and keeps on being sold from this point on and keeps being treated badly. At the end he is sold one last time and reconnects to a former trainer who makes sure he lives out the rest of his day in peace. Short Summary Of Black Beauty
