BLADE LESS TURBINE PRESENTED BY AMITH K RAJU S5 EEE
INTRODUCTION The bladeless wind turbine is a revolutionary , innovative design that harnesses wind energy without traditional blades . Instead it uses a unique , sleek , and compact structure to capture wind power
Blade less turbine
construction
Alternator Tuning System An alternator tuning system (ATS) is a mechanism used to optimize the performance of an alternator in a bladeless wind turbine
Principle The principle of a bladeless wind turbine is based on the concept of vortex induction , where wind energy is converted into electrical energy without the use of traditional blades
Working
Working Step 1: wind enters the turbine through an inlet , creating smooth flow . The wind speed increases as it passes through the inlet Step 2: The accelerated wind flows through a narrow chamber , creating vortices (spinning air masses). The vortices are amplified by the chambers shape and surface features Step 3:The rotating vortices induce a magnetic field generating an electromotive force (EMF) Step 4 : the emf drives an electrical current through the coil Step 5 : The emf is sent to a converter which adjusts the voltage and frequency Step 6 : The converted energy is fed into the power grid , ready for distribution
Advantages Increased Efficiency Reduced visual impact Lower noise pollution Improved safety Compact design Reduced maintenance Increased reliability Iess land use
Disadvantages Lower power output Higher costs Technical challenges Energy conversion efficiency Wind speed limitations Public acceptance Intermittent energy source Noice
Applications Industries Remote telemetry Schools Farms Houses Off – grid power for rail signaling Off – grid lighting
Conclusion In summery the generation of electricity is made possible by the small structure of bladeless turbine. This project will satisfy the need of continuous generation of electricity. The overall project uses less space area hence highly economical for the rural electrification of india
