Medical Management Temsulosin (DOC) Dutasteride or funasteride ( Decrease testosterone hormone) Cholinergic agents like Bathenacol

Open Surgery: Suprapubic prostectomy : Suprapubic  means that the surgery is done through an incision in your lower abdomen, above your pubic bone. An incision is made in your bladder, and the center of your prostate gland is removed. Retropubic prostectomy : Retropubic prostatectomy  is a surgical procedure in which the prostate gland is removed through an incision in the abdomen. It is most often used to treat individuals who have early prostate cancer Perineal Prostectomy : The prostate is removed through an incision in the area between the scrotum and the anus.

Nursing Management Stop he hormonal treatment like Testosterone. Monitoring the weight of patient. Maintain I/O chart The irrigation in TURP should not be done with NS because it causes irritation.
