Gerund and its uses

I- Objectives:
At the end of the discussion students are expected to:
1. identify the uses of gerund;
2. construct sentences using gerunds
3. value how gerund being used;

Materials: Paper strips, Pilot pen, Cartolina, green board

Preparation
A. Prayer Let us pray first before we start with our lesson, Student A please lead the
prayer.
B. Checking of attendance of the student.
C. Review
(The teacher will present some pictures related to the past lesson and let the students
recognize of what the teacher’s presented.)
D. Motivation
The teacher will let five students act the five following words while the rest of the class
will guess what is the word all about.
After knowing the sentences let the student guest the next topic.
F. Discussion
The teacher will give task about the five uses of Gerund and then let the student explain
or give some information about their task.
G. Application
(Activity, Group Sentence Construction)
H. Generalization
The teacher will ask to the student about the five uses of gerund and give its meaning.

5 items sentence construction
5 items identifying the gerund
V- Assignment
Research the definition of Gerund Phrase and give one example. Write your
answer on a one-fourth sheet of paper.
