2. What is Cam & Cam Follower? A CAM is a rotating machine element which gives reciprocating or oscillating motion to another element known as FOLLOWER. Cam Follower

3. Control the movement of the engine valves. Cams used in a pump. Examples of a Rotary cams in operation.

4. Example of cylindrical in shaped cam. The cam follower does not have to move up and down - it can be an oscillating lever as shown above.

7. Roller Follower When the contacting end of the follower is a roller, is called roller follower

8. According to the Path of Motion of Follower Off Set Follower When the motion of the follower is along an axis away from the axis the cam centre it is called off-set follower
