The term nurse is a generic level usually applied to all nurses working within the health care industry. There are four different group of nurses each of which has its own level of education, clinical experience and respective title.

DEFINITION According to Wikipedia A career is an individuals metaphorical ‘Journey’ through learning work and other aspects of life . OR opportunities means good chances to advance yourself or favourable circumferences for the time.

GOALS Describe the steps in the career planning process. Identify the main sources of career information. Discuss career field with the most growth potentials.

CLASSIFICATION HOSPITAL NURSE :- Hospital nurse the large group are staff nurse provide bedside nursing care carry out the medical regimen prescribed by physician . They also supervise Licensed Practical Nurse and aides. OFFICE NURSE: - Office nurse care for out patient in physician office clinic and emergency medical centre. They assist with examination administer injection and medication dressing wound and incision assist with minor surgery and maintain records.

NURSING HOME NURSE: - Nurse who work in nursing homes manage care for resident with condition ranging from a fracture and alzheimers diseases. Public health Nurse:- Public health nurse work in Govt. and private agencies including clinics school retirement communities and other community setting. They focus on population working with individual group and family to improve the overall health of community.

NURSE PRACTITIONERS:- Nurse practitioners are most advanced nurse with the power to write prescription and independently diagnosis and treat patients. REGISTERED NURSE: - Registered nurse work to promote health prevent diseases and help patient cope with illness .They are advocates and health educators for patients families and communities.

HOME HEALTH NURSE:- Home health nurse provide nursing service to patients at home. They assess patient home environments and instruct patients and their families. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE:- Occupational health nurse also called industrial nurse provide nursing care at work with injuries and illness . They give emergency care prepare accidents reports and arrange for further care is necessary.

DIFFERENCE BRANCH IN NURSING CAREER 1. NURSE PRACTITIONERS :- A career as a nurse practitioners requires the most advanced training and education, This types of nurse performs several functions. That are similar to a physicians such as prescribing medicine and independently treating and diagnosing patients .

REGISTERED NURSE : - Registered nurse provide education the patient families and communication about diseases prevention health and illness. HOME HEALTH NURSE :- Home health nurse provide nursing service to patients at home. They assess patient home environments and instruct patients and their families.

4. PERINATAL NURSE :- Perinatal nurse specialize in helping people with pregnancy and child birth issues perinatal nurse are involved in helping pregnant women and couples prepare for child birth and early infants care by offering health advice and instructions watching for symptoms.
