Categories of Hardware Tools Used in Computer System Servicing

ELECTRO-STATIC DISCHARGE (ESD) TOOLS
Anti-Static Wrist Strap - used to prevent ESD damage to computer equipment.
Anti-Static Mat - u sed to stand on or place hardware on to prevent static electricity from building up.
HAND TOOLS
Flat Head Screwdriver - u sed to loosen or tighten slotted screws.
Hex Driver - Used to hold small parts.
Needle-Nose Pliers - s ometimes called a nut driver, is used to tighten nuts in the same way that a screwdriver tightens screws .
Philips Head Screwdriver - u sed to loosen or tighten cross-head screws .
Torx Screwdriver - u sed to loosen or tighten screws that have a starlike depression on the top, a feature that is mainly found on laptop
Wire Cutter - u sed to strip and cut wires.
Tweezers - u sed to manipulate small parts.
Part Retriever - u sed to retrieve parts from location that is too small for your hand to fit.
Flashlight - a small electric light, a flash of electric light used to give light in dark conditions.
Magnifying Glass - a device made in glass with handle, to exaggerate or to increase the apparent size of an object.
Soldering Pencil - a tool used to join two or more metal conductors with the support of soldering lead melted around it.
De-Soldering Tool - a tool used to unsoldered unwanted parts or component in the circuit with the support of soldering pencil.
Crimping Tool - a tool that is used to join or connect two pieces of material by using compression to form a connecting bond.
CLEANING TOOLS
Lint-Free Cloth - u sed to clean different computer components without scratching or leaving debris.
Paint Brush - a device made of bristles set in handle, use for cleaning sensitive parts of a computer.
Compressed Air - u sed to blow away dust and debris from different computer parts without touching the components.
Cable Ties - u sed to bundle cables neatly inside and outside of a computer.
Parts Organizer - u sed to hold screw, jumpers, fasteners and other small parts and prevents them from getting mixed together.
