SESSION: 01 CENTRE LINE METHOD
Introduction:
1. This method is used to calculate quantity of civil work especially in load bearing
structure.
2. In this method firstly, calculate the center line length of the wall
e.g. Center line length = 6.3 + 6.3+ 3.3 + 3.3 = 19.2 m
3. Centre to centre line method is quick, but it requires special attention and
consideration at the junctions or meeting points of partition or cross walls, etc.
e.g. Total length = c/c length – ½ x No’s of junction x width of item

Wall thick-0.3 m
Wall height-3.1m
