Beaks or bills The birds do not have teeth They use their beaks or bills.

Curved beak They have curved beaks to crack fruits and nuts. Example: Parrot

Cracker beak Pigeons and sparrow has cracker beaks to crack seeds and swallow.

Shredder beak Owls and hawks have sharp beaks. They use it to tear or shred flesh.

Chisel shaped beak It is long and chisel like. To drill into tree trunks and feed on insects.

Straw shaped Example, Hummingbird They use it to suck nectar from flowers.

Strainer Ducks have broad , flat beaks with holes in both sides. They act like shovel They strain out plants and animals.

Spear shaped Example, Kingfisher and herons The have long and pointed spear like beaks The used it to pierce fishes.

Tweezer like Insect eating birds like warblers The beaks are thin and pointed.

Multi-Purpose Example , Crow It helps them to eat fruits,seeds,insects, fish and other animals.
