The Seven Chakras
What are chakras?
•Energy centres within the human body that
help to regulate all its processes, from organ
function to the immune system and emotions
•7 chakras positioned throughout your body,
from the base of your spine to the crown of
your head
•Each chakra has its own vibration frequency
that is depicted through a specific chakra
colour
•Each chakra governs specific functions in
our body
The Root Chakra
•Energy based on the earth element
•Associated with the feeling of safety and
grounding
•It is at the base of the chakra system and
lays the foundation for expansion in your life
•Supports us in growing and feeling safe
exploring all the aspects of life
•Related to our feeling of survival and safety
The Root Chakra
•The root chakra is
located at the base
of the spine. The
body locations are
the perineum, along
the first three
vertebrae, at the
pelvic plexus
The Sacral Chakra
•Associated with the emotional body,
sensuality, and creativity.
•Energy characterized by flow and flexibility.
•Function is directed by the principle of
pleasure.
•Centre of our feelings and sensations,
particularly active in our sexuality and
expression of desires.
•Driving force for the enjoyment of life
through the senses.
The Sacral Chakra
•About three inches
below the navel, at
the center of your
lower belly. In the
back, it’s located at
the level of the
lumbar vertebrae.
The Solar Plexus Chakra
•The expression of will, personal power, and
mental abilities.
•Our ability to be confident and in control of
our lives

and the lower part
of the chest.
•Closely connected
to the digestive
system.
•Main function is to
help transform
matter into energy
to fuel your body.
The Heart Chakra
•Colors our life with compassion, love, and
beauty.
•Driven by the principles of transformation
and integration.
•Bridges earthly and spiritual aspirations.
•Aids in deep connection with others and the
appreciation of beauty.

•Located at the
center of the chest.
•Associated with the
cardiac system and
the lungs.
•Immune system
regulation.
The Throat Chakra
•The passage of energy between the
lower parts of the body and the head.
•Function is driven by the principle of
expression and communication.
•Our ability to communicate, self-
expression of feelings and the truth.
The Throat Chakra
•Located at the
throat
The Third Eye Chakra
•Our ability to focus on and see the big
picture
•Center of our intuition and foresight
•Driven by the principle of openness
and imagination
•The center where we transcend
duality-the duality of a personal “I”
separate from the rest of the world

eyebrows, slightly
above the bridge of
your nose
•Located behind the
eyes in the middle
of the head
The Crown Chakra
•Gives access to higher states of consciousness as
we open to what is beyond our personal
preoccupations and visions
•Function is driven by consciousness and gets us in
touch with the universe
•Represents our ability to be fully connected
spiritually
•Associated with the transcendence of our
limitations, whether they are personal or bound to
space and time
•This chakra allows access to the upmost clarity and
enlightened wisdom

•Closely associated
with the brain and
the whole nervous
system
