Prayer for the Sacred Heart

1. A Prayer for the Healing of Hearts
CONSECRATION TO THE SACRED HEART Of
JESUS -by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
I consecrate and surrender to the Sacred Heart of our
Lord Jesus Christ, my person, my life, my difficulties
and my sufferings, that I may henceforth live only for
his love and glory. It is my firm and unwavering
purpose to be his entirely, to do everything for his love
and renounce wholeheartedly everything that could
displease his divine Heart. O Sacred Heart, I choose
You as the sole object of my love, the protector of my
life, the pledge of my salvation, the support of my
weakness and the atoner for all the sins of my whole
life. O mild and bountiful Heart, be likewise my refuge
at the hour of death, my justification before God, and
ward off from me the penalty of his just wrath. O
loving Heart, I place my trust entirely in You. While I
fear everything from my own malice, I hope everything
from Your goodness. Destroy in me whatever may
displease You or be opposed to You, and let Your pure
love imprint You so deeply upon my heart that it will
be impossible for me ever to forget You or be
separated from You. O Sacred Heart, by Your
goodness, I implore You, let my name be deeply
engraved in You, for in Your service and in Your love I
will live and die.Amen

10. Concluding Prayer
O Lord, you give your Sacred Heart to humanity in the
Mystery of the Altar for the salvation of our souls, may
your sacrifice not be made in vain. Hear our prayers,
have mercy on us and forgive our sins. We desire to
honor you in the Blessed Sacrament, (WE glorify you in
our thoughts, words and actions, and thank and praise
you always.) We weep for and detest the impiety and
ingratitude of men, call us back to the heart of your
Church. I offer you my heart in reparation for sin.
(Remove from it what is displeasing to you, dispose it
according to your will, and inspire it with sentiments
like yours. Draw us near to you Sacred Heart through
the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and be our refuge at
death, that we may come to praise for all eternity the
Divine Love with which your Sacred Heart burns for
humanity. I ask this in the name of the Father, Son
and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in you.

*Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

PROMISES OF THE SACRED HEART OF OUR
LORD JESUS CHRIST-as revealed by Him to
Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque

1. I will give them all the graces necessary in their
state of life.
2. I will establish peace in their homes.
3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
4. I will be their secure refuge during life, and above
all, in death.
5. I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their
undertakings.
6. Sinners will find in my heart the source and infinite
ocean of mercy.
7. Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
9. I will bless every place in which an image of my
heart is exposed and honored.
10.I will give to priests the gift of touching the most
hardened hearts.
11. Those who shall promote this devotion shall
have their names written in my Heart.
12.In the excess of the mercy of my heart, I promise
you that my all powerful love will grant to all those
who will receive communion on the First Fridays,
for nine (9) consecutive months, the grace of final
repentance: they will not die in my displeasure, nor
without receiving the sacraments; and my heart will be
theirsecure refuge in that last hour.

2. Opening Prayer
"Soul of Christ,sanctify me! Body of Christ,save me!
Blood of Christ,inebriate me! Water from the side of
Christ,wash me! Passion of Christ,strengthen me!
O good Jesus hear me! Within Thy wounds hide me;
Permit me not to be separated from Thee;
from the malignant enemy, defend me;
in the hour of death, call me and bid me come over to
Thee, that with Thy saints I may praise Thee forever
and ever, Amen."
5. On the Crucifix Pray (The Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of
heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son,
our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born
of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead; He
ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand
of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to
judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy
Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the
body, and life everlasting. Amen.
3. Our Father (On the First Big Bead)
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy
name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed
art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of
thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for
us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

5. Glory Be Prayer
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy
Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever
shall be, world without end. Amen.

My Lord and GOD Jesus Christ, meek and humble of
heart, make my heart like unto Thine

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may love You
