What is “ Cheerdance ”? Cheerdance is a thematic way to lead the crowd massively using props, costumes, and various dance genres. What is “Cheerleading”? Cheerleading is a competitive and very technical sport about crowd leading that features group skills ( pyramid,stunts,tosses , etc).

What is Competitive Cheerleading? CHEERDANCE (what we got used to) CHEERLEADING (trending sport) VS Thematic Incorporates massive use of props, costumes and etc. Uses various dance genres (modern, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, etc.) More on floor routines Very technical Showcases GROUP skills Focuses on cheerleading elements (pyramids, stunts, tosses and etc.) Crowd leading Props are limited to pom - poms , signs, flags and cheer megaphones.

Cheerleading’s roots are closely tied to American football’s. It started in football game. Thomas Peebles, took the Princeton University cheers to the University of Minnesota. Tumbling – a collective term form acrobatic and airborne elements under gymnastics. It is performed in a standing position or running to gain momentum. Acrobatics: Cartwheel, Round Off, Front walkover, Back walkover, Front handspring, Back Handspring Airborne: Back tuck, Layout, Fulltwist , Side Salto

Pyramid – is composed of partner stunts that are connected with each other. The allowed level is only until 2 ½ high.

GROUND PYRAMID

Tosses – an extension of jumps and other airborne skill. * Sponge Toss, Basket Toss, Toe Pitch(only for pyramid)
