Introduction What is Chemical Kinetics:- Chemical Kinetics is the part of chemical science dealing with study of the Rates of the chemical reactions and The factors which affect the reaction rates.

Chemical Reaction and Rate of Chemical Reaction Chemical Reaction: A  chemical reaction  is a process that leads to the  chemical  transformation of one set of  chemical  substances to another. Rate of reaction is one of the important factor in any chemical reaction .

Rate of Chemical Reaction Rate of a chemical reaction is change in concentration of a reactant or product with time. Rate of Reaction= Change in concentration / Change in time i.e rate = - ∆[A] / ∆t where, ∆[A] = change in concentration of A over time period ∆t

The Rate Expression We know how to work out the rate of reaction …but that doesn’t tell us if the all the reactants make the same contribution to the overall reaction That’s where the rate expression comes in.

Rate Law Expression

Order of reaction The Order of reaction refers to the  relationship  between the rate of a chemical reaction and the concentration of the  species  taking part in it. In order to obtain the reaction order, the rate expression (or the rate equation) of the reaction in question must be obtained. The order can be determined experimentally using the initial rate method
