Christian Counseling emphasizes the value of Christian morality and the use of the Bible as a message for guidance as well as emotional and mental healing. Christian Counselors utilize the foundation of the Christian faith and Bible as a way to help others heal. Christian Counseling however is pastoral in nature in many cases. Some forms of Christian Counseling are more therapy based than Biblical based, but all utilize Scripture to some form or extent. It is important to note that Clinical Counseling is usually secular in nature and employs a wide variety of psychological therapies. Man y biblical counselors rightfully see sin as part of mental issues, but integrated Christian Counselors while acknowledging humanity's fall and the price of sin, also understands that therapy is also critical for healing.
