Introduction: An international workshop on the classification of diseases and conditions related to periodontal and peri-implant tissues was organized in Chicago on November 9–11, 2017. The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) co-sponsored the workshop, which drew in experts from around the globe. AAP and EFP organizing committees commissioned four consensus reports and 19 review papers that addressed pertinent topics in periodontology and implant dentistry. The proceedings of the workshop were jointly and simultaneously published in the Journal of Periodontology and Journal of Clinical Periodontology . Tuesday, August 6, 2024 3
