General Information Origin : Asia Size of plant : 100-160cm Life cycle : Annual herb Family : Cleomaceae Season : Rainy season The crushed leaves have been investigated as a treatment on stored seeds of  cowpea , to prevent weevil infestation Phenology:june-august

Description Stems : Viscid Leaves :  petiole 1.5–4.5(–8) cm, glandular-hirsute; leaflet blade ovate to oblanceolate-elliptic, margins entire and glandular-ciliate, apex acute to obtuse, surfaces glandular-hirsute. Inflorescence : Racemes Flowers : sepals green , Lanceolate, Petals arranged in semi-circle before anthesis,Flowers are bright yellow , some times purple basally , oblong to ovate , stamens are dimorphic, anthers are swelling and green colour, styles are granular. Fruit : capsule Seeds : light brown
