Introduction With the advancement in technology, Web is becoming very much more important in our daily lives, in which virtually everything we do nowadays involves the use of web. More so, the application of Web is not limited to computers but it is opened to different kinds of intelligent digital devices, for example the mobile ones.

What Is Client Clients are also referred to as service requester Thick Client-. It depends very less on the server. Thin Client- A thin client refers to a lightweight computer which depends on the resources of the host computer to a great extent. Hybrid Client- A hybrid client is a combination of a thick client’s and a thin client’s characteristics. It mostly depends on the server for storing persistent data. It is capable of local processing

What Is Server A server is  a computer program or device that provides a service to another computer program and its user, also known as the client. In a data center, the physical computer that a server program runs on is also frequently referred to as a server

Client Server Model The client server model describe distributed computing relationship between at least two independent computer ( a client and server) which communicate through the internet or local area network. There can be multiple client on each server Example of using he client/server include bank account transaction

Client Server Network A client-server network refers to the medium that enables clients to access resource and services from a central computer by using either the LAN (Local Area Network) or the WAN (Wide Area Network). The most popular network services are, e-mail, file sharing and the World Wide Web.

Client server Architecture client-server architecture,  architecture of a computer network in which many clients request and receive service from a server . Client computers provide an interface to allow a computer user to request services of the server and to display the results the server returns. The two main architectures : 2- tier architecture 3- tier architecture

2-Tier Architecture In a two-tier architecture,  the client is on the first tier and database server is on the second tier.

3-Tier Architecture In a three-tier architecture,  the client is on the first tier and application server is on the second tier and database server is on the third tier

Peer To Peer Network A peer to peer networks involves two or more computer that share individual resources, including DVD players, printer . Each computer in the network act as client as well as the server. communicating with the other computer directly.

Advantages Easy maintenance : New technology can be added easily through the server. Server resources can be decreased or increased depending upon the client request. If any server computer needs to take backup of its data then control can be shifted to another server. The data backup can be taken at a time when there are fewer requests to the server. Dedicated server : A server can be either a file server, print server or database server. Backup and recovery : Taking backup of data and recovering data is easy. Accessibility: A server can be accessed remotely through multiple platforms .

Disadvantages Traffic Congestion :- The primary disadvantage of client server network is the traffic congestion it undergoes. If too many clients make request from the same server, it will result in crashes or slowing down of the connection. An overloaded server creates many problems in accessing information . Cost:- the cost involved in setting up and maintaining the server is usually high in client server network as it does on the network operations.  Maintenance:- When the servers are implemented, it is going to work non-stop. Which means it must be given proper attention. If there are any problems, it must be resolved immediately without any delay. Resources:- Not all the resources that is present on the server is acquirable. For an example, it is not possible to print a document on the web directly or edit any information on the client hard disk drive.

Conclusion In conclusion, the client-server system encompasses different areas both in networking and database management due to its structural functionalities, it is essential to know that the advent of the technology is a breakthrough in the IT world and also in the business world because without the application of this technology, work process would be difficult to execute and might take longer time
