Committee members are first committed to
God and then to their God given task in EU/
EGF. They are there not to promote an
organization but primarily to grow up,
evangelize and build others up.
They should read the manual and have a
clear understanding the aims, doctrines,
policies, and constitution of UESI.

Members need to know their priorities
regarding their Quiet time, Prayer, Studies /
Job, other activities, and witnessing.
As a team they need to have a Goal.
They need to continue to be fresh in know
in what they believe and why they believe.

They should each have a vital link with the local
Church.
They should be aware of the suitable literature
published by UESI and other Christian publishers in
order to read and encourage EU/EGF members to
lead them.
They should feel concern about students work in
India and other Countries.

They need to Prayerfully select and encourage the
committee members to attend UESI National
Training Camps, Annual General Body Meeting and
National/State Conferences.
They should Prayerfully look out for and train
successors for the next year.

They should accept committee members, trust them
and have confidence in them. They need to have
regular Bible Study and Prayer individually and
together.
Set an example to others in hard work. If a member
is unable to function for some reason, take up the
extra bit of work.
Locate and solve differences, if any, in your
EU/EGF with Love and Humility.

Have a key interest in Bible Study and Prayer Cells
and visit them as often as possible. Initiate a cell
where there is none.
Avoid the tendency to compare former Committee
Members with the present ones. Each one as God
given gifts and abilities.

Assist Staff workers during their visits. Have
regular communication with them.
Be loyal, fair, self-controlled, encouraging and
appreciating one another. Do not speak ill of others.
Give priority to responsibilities in EU/EGF.
Discourage firmly in divisions in EU/EGF.

Is EU’s/EGF’s spiritual leader, coordinating the EU/EGF
committee and sub committees
Chairs meetings with preparation. Keeps the team on track
and disciplines diligently
Also makes notes and keeps track of the actions to be
taken
Is for balanced discussion and avoids arguments. Pauses
for prayer to seek God’s mind over disagreement

Hears other’s reports to pray intelligently
Makes sure that committee meets frequently and regularly
for prayer
Is to call for committee meetings through the Secretary
Is chairperson of most EU/EGF meetings, welcoming and
introducing speakers and guests. He can delegate these
responsibilities to other committee members, too

In consultation with the president prepare agenda in
advance for EU/EGF committee meeting. Take into
consideration suggestions from every member
Circulates the agenda to committee members and senior
advisers, 2 full weeks before the committee meeting so they
can come mentally ready

language and with clarity. If needed, use expert help.

Understands and agrees with the faith policy of
UESI and works within that concept

the general fund of the EU/EGF

Building up strong prayer life within EU/EGF
Building up prayer support among people outside the college
but who are aware of the strategic importance of student witness
UESI and State or District units may announce special prayer
days. It is the Prayer Secretary’s responsibility to take initiative
to inform this to all EU/EGF members and arrange prayer
sessions
A prayer circular is sent out bimonthly / quarterly and can be
used privately and in groups

Plan and conduct one day missions retreat /prayer sessions to
expose EU students/EGF Graduates to mission needs
Invite missionaries to share their testimonies in EU/EGF
programmes.
Motivate EU students/EGF Graduates to attend:
• National / state missionary training camp
• UESI Missions Conferences
• Arrange to send EU students/EGF Graduates who are open
for missions
• Student volunteer programme(SVP): to be with missionary
on a mission field for one month or so whenever students
are free

Subscribe / write for missions bulletins, IFES praise and
prayer, magazines to update EU/EGF members on missions
Promote /circulate missions literature /videos
Circulate mission focus-a digest of world mission events-

agencies and create mission awareness to think globally

Encourage students to move as missionary students to
colleges in unreached areas
Motivate the EU/EGF to adopt a pioneering state to support
in prayer, finance etc.
Keep in touch with the State/National Mission Secretaries by

on State/National Mission activities
Motivate each student to be a missionary where he/she is.

Outreach is an important responsibility of any EU or ICEU.
Apart from looking after the affairs of their EU, each EU
member and committee has the responsibility to take the Good
news to the nearby college or centre. Outreach Secretary
should motivate the EU Committee to take steps in this regard.
He / she
collects information regarding unreached colleges/contact
centres and passes on to the EU Committee.

to the local EGF, Staff worker, state and national offices.
Delegate the responsibility to all EU / EGF members to
involve in follow up work and growth of students will be
informed to President / Secretary.
